What changes during a power cut.
On-grid inverters must shut down during an outage (anti-islanding) — a necessary safety behaviour. The consequence: panels in full sun while batteries drain alone. The Hybrid Conversion Kit adds one retrofit bridge between your solar and your backup — your on-grid inverter's safety behaviour is unchanged and never overridden.

Straight answers.
Is this a hybrid inverter?
No. It works alongside your existing on-grid inverter and backup inverter, harvesting available PV energy toward your backup battery/inverter side during an outage. Purpose-built hybrid inverters remain appropriate for many new installations — this product is for existing ones.
Will I have to replace my inverters or batteries?
No. The kit keeps your existing solar inverter, backup inverter and battery bank in service. Compatibility for your specific installation is confirmed through an installation specification before supply.
Which battery systems does the current model support?
12 V and 24 V lead-acid systems, with output up to ~1 kW and PV input of approximately 36–120 V VOC.
Does my on-grid inverter feed the grid during a power cut?
No — never. Its anti-islanding safety behaviour is unchanged. The kit does not override it and no energy is sent to the utility grid during an outage.
Does it work at night or without sunlight?
The kit supplies energy only when PV power is available. At night or in poor light, your backup operates as it does today, from the battery.
What does it cost, and who installs it?
